Hanimaadhoo is one of the inhabited islands of Haa Dhaalu Atoll administrative division and geographically part of Thiladhummathi Atoll in the north of the Maldives. It is now an International airport of the Maldives, since the operations of flights from Hanimadhoo to Trivandrum on February 03, 2013. The Hanimaadhoo Meteorological Observatory is also located on this island. Many flight scientific research and investigations have been initiated from Hanimaadhoo.
