IASL wins Airline Reliability Performance Award 2009 at the Bombardier Conference in Toronto, Canada
Island Aviation Services Limited partakes in the Bombardier biennium conference for Q-Series and CRJ Series aircraft operators in Toronto, Canada. The conference and the trade show was participated by more than sixty airline operators from around the world and Bombardier honored 18 airline operators for world class operational performance. Airline Reliability Performance Awards were presented to Q-Series and CRJ Series aircraft operators from diverse geographical regions and Island Aviation Services Ltd is the proud winner of the 2009 Airline Reliability Performance Award for the Asian Region. Uni Air of Taiwan was the other winner in the Asian Region. The award-winning airlines were honored for their world-class operational performance, which included having achieved dispatch reliability rates greater than 99 per cent on passenger flights in 2009.
Managing Director of Island Aviations Services Ltd Mr. Bandhu Ibrahim Saleem accepted the award during a special ceremony held on the 18th of June 2010 in Toronto, Canada.
President of Customer Services and Specialized & Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace Mr. James Hoblyn congratulated the winning airlines by stating “In this tough environment, this is no small feat.” Bombardier is a Canadian company that manufactures the Dash-8 aircrafts that are used by Island Aviations Services Ltd.
Island Aviation was also recognized in 2008 by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India for the airlines with the 4th best timing performance on arrival and departure among 38 airline operators.
