Dhaka is the capital and the largest city of Bangladesh located on the banks of Buriganga River. At present day, Dhaka has evolved to a great city sheltering about 8.5 million in population and the city now is a hot spot for foreign investments and attracts huge volumes of commerce and trade. Dhaka is also situated in one of the world’s top rice and jute growing areas comprising of jute textile industries, cotton and muslin industries. Further, a variety of food processing and goods too are manufactured in Dhaka. The city is also known as the ‘City of Mosques’ and attracted numerous travelers from around the world.
Maldivian began operations to Dhaka on November 15, 2012.
