May 26 -  First test flight to Ifuru Domestic Airport in Raa Atoll

The first test flight of Maldivian has successfully landed this evening around 6:20pm atIfuru Domestic Airport in Raa Atoll developed by Coastline Investment.

Senior officials of Island Aviation, Coastline Investment, Civil Aviation Authority, Airports Company, Aviation Security and other relevant officials travelled to Ifuru on this test flight today.

This is the third airport that will be operated by Island Aviation Services Limited in addition to Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport in Baa Atoll and Thimarafushi Domestic Airport in Thaa Atoll.

Maldivian will operate daily flights to Ifuru and scheduled flights will commence from 29th May 2015. This will enable both tourists and locals a convenient way to travel back home or to visit the breathtaking atoll.
