Island Aviation Services Ltd. is proud to announce an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Development and Operation of a City Hotel at Maafaru International Airport for Local & Foreign parties. Maafaru International Airport, serving as a gateway to the breathtaking beauty of the Maldives, offers both international and domestic flights, thereby positioning itself as a pivotal hub for tourism and commerce in the region. In line with our commitment to expanding our services and enhancing the passenger experience, we invite interested parties to submit EOIs for the development of a 50 Room Airport Hotel, aimed at complementing the airport’s facilities and contributing to the economic growth of the area.

For this venture, we are open to exploring various business models that ensure a collaborative and beneficial partnership. While we have no specific preference at this stage, we are keen to hear proposals that present innovative and mutually advantageous business models. It is essential for these proposals to clearly articulate the benefits to both the proposer and Island Aviation Services Ltd.

Following the EOI stage, Island Aviation Services Ltd. will initiate an information session, exclusively inviting parties who have participated in this EOI phase. Time and place will be informed via mail to all the parties who have expressed their interest. This step ensures a seamless transition and a focused approach towards engaging with interested entities that align with our vision, strategic goals, and overall master plan for the Maafaru International Airport Hotel Development. Approach for selection will prioritize proposals that align with our organizational objectives, showcase the experience and track record of the operator and developer/contractor, highlight the strengths of the proposed team, and demonstrate their financial and operational capabilities.

Island Aviation Services Ltd. reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to annul the EOI process and reject all proposals at any time prior to the signing of any framework agreement, without incurring any liability towards the proponents. In the event of an annulment, all proponents will be informed, and their submissions will be returned.

Interested parties are requested to submit their completed EOI documents as detailed in the ‘Expression of Interest (EOI) Application Form’ included with this announcement. Submissions are to be made via e-mail only, no later than 14:00 hrs Maldives time (Time difference to GMT is +5 hours) on 21 April 2024.  Submissions and clarification requests pertaining to the EOI or requirement shall be directed in accordance with the mailing format provided below,
