Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has launched direct flights with two weekly frequencies on Sundays and Thursdays from Hanimaadhoo International Airport to Bangalore, India. This marks a positive step in expanding regional connectivity and supporting the development of northern Maldives. 
 
The service provides a seamless travel option for residents in the northern atolls, eliminating the need for domestic transfers through Malé and significantly reducing overall travel time. Bangalore, a key hub for healthcare, education, commerce, and leisure, remains one of the most sought-after destinations for Maldivian travellers. 
 
The new route also opens up direct access for Indian travellers to discover the northern Maldives – a region rich in unspoiled natural beauty, local culture, and history. The direct link offers a convenient entry point for visitors seeking authentic Island escapes.
