Maldivian Expands Connectivity with Fifth Weekly Frequency to Trivandrum and Cochin

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is enhancing regional connectivity and travel convenience with the launch of its 5th flight frequency to Trivandrum (TRV) and Cochin (COK) from Male’, effective 19th December 2025. This expansion brings the total to 5 weekly flights, offering travellers more flexibility and choice when flying between the Maldives and South India.  

With this additional flight, passengers now have more options to plan their trips around business schedules, medical visits, or leisure getaways without being restricted by limited availability. The 5th frequency ensures smoother connections, reduced waiting times, and greater convenience for both Maldivian and Indian travellers. 

All flights on these routes will be operated by Maldivian’s Airbus A320, a modern aircraft designed for comfort and efficiency. Featuring a spacious cabin, 152 seats (including 14 Premium Economy seats and 138 Economy Seats), and a flight time of just over an hour, passengers can enjoy a quick, relaxing journey without the hassle of longer, indirect connections.
